The contents of a book may look different on certain devices than it does in its printed version. If you want to make your book available for Amazon's Kindle, then you might want to get Kindle Previewer to see how it will look and if you'll need to make adjustments. It supports the latest typographic and layout improvements that come with Enhanced Typesetting. The software can help you accurately format your books for the Kindle or other devices, so you won't disappoint your readers with shoddy alignment.

Kindle Previewer is absolutely free, and you can have it up and running in no time. It is available for all modern Windows and Mac editions, and it doesn't ask for any special tools or services, nor does it use a significant amount of disk space or processing power.

The software is essentially a lightweight eBook reader. It doesn't come with any management features or tools that make reading more comfortable, but it can show you how a book will appear on the Kindle, on a regular tablet or on a smartphone. All you have to do is import an eBook and the application will display the text on a graphical representation of the aforementioned devices.

A chapters list can be found on the left side of the interface, among other useful navigation options, which can help you comb through your text faster. You can also switch between different fonts and sizes, to make sure everything will be in order, regardless of what font you choose. Additionally, the application lets you preview your work in portrait as well as landscape orientation, which could have visible effects on a text.

You don't have to worry if your eBooks are not in the Kindle's own format, because the application will convert them automatically once you import them. Your source files can be in various formats, including EPUB, DOC and even HTML, and you can also export your books to MOBI, as well as AZK for reading on iOS devices.

If you care about how your books look, Kindle Previewer will help you make sure you won't have any issues if you publish them for Kindle or other devices.

Pros

You can preview books on the Kindle, as well as regular tablets and phones. The application is compatible with various eBook formats. It also supports the latest Enhanced Typesetting improvements.

Cons

The user interface is a bit uncomfortable when you an eBook on a device.
